We offer contemporary, comprehensive, and evidence-based psychiatric evaluations and treatment for mental illnesses for child & adolescents, adults and elderly patients.

Our clinicians are board-certified Psychiatrists with decades of experience treating patients in different settings including University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Children’s of Alabama, Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center, rural communities and various private sectors.



Dr. Amin has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She completed her General psychiatry residency and Child & Adolescent psychiatry fellowship from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), serving as a chief resident. Dr. Amin is board-certified from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She served as an Emergency Psychiatry attending as well as Associate Medical Director at the department of mental health at UAB. She also served as Child & Adolescent psychiatry attending at Children’s of Alabama. She worked as Staff Psychiatrist and Physician Utilization Management Advisor at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center.
Dr. Amin is the recipient of multiple clinical excellence and leadership awards including VISN 7 Clinical Executive Leadership Award. She is also specialized in Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She is accredited to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone) for opioid use disorder. She enjoys caring for children and adults with depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, autism and attention deficit disorders.

Dr. Islam has been practicing medicine for over 35 years. He completed his M.P.H., Dr. P.H., and Psychiatry residency from UAB, focusing on mental health research. He worked as a clinical and research faculty at the UAB Department of Psychiatry and School of Public Health. Dr. Islam is board-certified from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He specialized in Electro Convulsive Therapy (ECT) and served as ECT Director at UAB.
Dr. Islam is specialized in treating substance use disorders using Buprenorphine (Suboxone). He also served as Staff Psychiatrist at the VA Medical Center. His special interest is to provide affordable and convenient psychiatric treatment via Telepsychiatry.
He was the recipient of multiple clinical and academic excellence awards during his career including the Clinical Executive Leadership Award from the Veterans Health Administration. His many interests include psychotherapy, ADHD treatment, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance abuse disorders.
